Integrating concepts while using desktop tools
You have been
assigned as a project manager to an overwhelming project.
This four-day seminar covers the practical knowledge and hands-on
exercises you need to prepare you for beginning and completing a project
successfully. You will
learn how the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) can be integrated with each phase
of the project life cycle. This is a hands-on course in which the
participants learn how to integrate the appropriate desktop tool in the
project management process. The
class is divided into project teams.
Each project team develops a project from beginning to end using
the project management concepts and the appropriate desktop tool
presented in this course. The
desktop applications used in the class are Microsoft Office and
Microsoft Project.

This two-day workshop covers
choosing the appropriate quality tools to improve project processes and
to take advantage of opportunities.
A problem-solving model is presented with an emphasis on applying
the suitable tool(s) each step of the way. An emphasis is placed on
intertwining both the data and team knowledge to improve
decision-making.

You have been given the
mandate to keep a project on schedule and within budget while managing
customer expectations. This seminar covers the knowledge and hands-on
exercises you need for project selection; developing and optimizing
project schedule and cost; techniques for measuring project performance
and dealing with cost and schedule overruns; as well as applying lessons
learned to future projects.

Microsoft Project Workshops
At the end of
this two day course the participant knows what information is needed for
a project, how to enter and edit a project plan and how to print reports
with the appropriate information for the various project stakeholders.

hands-on course. The participant consolidates several projects and then
analyses different project scenarios of this multiple project. In
addition the participant practices sending project information via
e-mail. The participant is encouraged to bring a disk copy of a current
project to use in the class.

At the end of this one-day
workshop the participant learns several methodologies and techniques for
scheduling and controlling project timelines, resources and costs.
The class
participant applies the skills learned though hands-on case study.
The participant is encouraged to bring a disk copy of a current
project to apply the skills learned.
